Flock Social Sensitive Media & Content Policy

At Flock Social, we aim to create a safe and engaging platform while allowing users to express themselves. To maintain community standards, we prohibit certain types of sensitive media and limit exposure to content that may be disturbing to some users.

This policy outlines what is not allowed, what requires content warnings, and how we enforce these guidelines.

1. Prohibited Content

🚫 You may NOT post the following content anywhere on Flock Social:

• Graphic violence or excessively gory content

• Sexual violence or assault (real or simulated)

• Bestiality or necrophilia

• Unsolicited adult nudity or sexual content

• Media promoting self-harm or suicide

Additionally, you cannot share any sensitive media in:

• Live videos

• Profile and cover images

• Community banner images

• List banners

Violating this policy may result in content removal, restrictions, or permanent account suspension.

2. Content That Requires a Warning

Some sensitive content is allowed if properly marked as sensitive media. This includes:

🔹 Graphic Content (death, violence, serious injury, medical procedures)🔹 Adult Nudity & Sexual Content (consensual and non-exploitative)

Examples of graphic content that must be marked as sensitive:

• Violent crimes or accidents

• Physical fights or injuries

• Bodily fluids (blood, feces, semen, etc.)

• Serious animal injuries (excluding hunting or food preparation)

Examples of adult nudity & sexual content that must be marked as sensitive:

• Artistic or medical nudity

• Sexual imagery that is not pornographic

• Simulated sexual acts (excluding explicit pornography)

💡 If you post content in these categories, you MUST enable the "Mark Media as Sensitive" option in your account settings.Failure to do so may result in manual restrictions or content removal.

3. Strictly Prohibited Categories

These types of media are never allowed under any circumstances:

🚫 Violent Sexual Content

• Sexual violence, assault, or non-consensual acts

• Simulated non-consensual acts (e.g., forced roleplay, rape fantasy)

🚫 Bestiality & Necrophilia

• Any sexual acts involving animals

• Sexual acts involving human corpses

🚫 Gratuitous Gore

• Severely dismembered human bodies

• Exposed internal organs or bones

• Animal torture or extreme mutilation

Note: Limited exceptions apply for documentary, educational, or newsworthy content, but must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Enforcement & Consequences

The enforcement action taken depends on the type of media shared and where it is posted.

Graphic Content & Adult Nudity

🔹 Live videos or profile images – Immediate removal required.🔹 Targeting users with unsolicited sensitive media – TOS violation, content removal.🔹 Unmarked sensitive content – Manual restriction or warning.

Violent Sexual Content, Bestiality, Necrophilia, & Gratuitous Gore

🔹 First offense – Content removal & warning.🔹 Repeated violations – Permanent suspension.🔹 Accounts dedicated to this content – Immediate permanent suspension.

If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you can submit an appeal at flocksocial.net/contact.

5. Reporting Violations

You can report violations of this policy using the report function available in:

• Posts (click "Report" in the post menu)

• Profiles (for public accounts only)
