Flock Social Abuse & Harassment Policy

At Flock Social, we believe in freedom of expression and open dialogue, but we also recognize the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users. To protect individuals from abuse, harassment, and harmful behavior, we prohibit content and actions that shame, degrade, or target others with malicious intent.

This policy outlines what is not allowed, how to report violations, and the consequences for breaking these rules.

1. Prohibited Behavior

Targeted Harassment

We define harassment as malicious, unreciprocated behavior intended to intimidate, humiliate, or degrade an individual or group. This includes:

• Posting multiple replies or posts in a short period targeting an individual with harmful content.

• Creating accounts dedicated to harassing individuals or groups.

• Tagging or mentioning users in posts with malicious intent.

Encouraging or Coordinating Harassment

You may not encourage or call for others to harass an individual or group online or offline. This includes:

• Urging others to send abusive messages or target someone with harassment.

• Calling for real-world actions (e.g., physical threats or doxxing).

Unwanted Sexual Content & Graphic Objectification

While some consensual adult content is allowed, we strictly prohibit content that sexually objectifies an individual without their consent. This includes:

• Sending unsolicited adult media (images, videos, GIFs).

• Engaging in unwanted sexual discussions about someone’s body.

• Soliciting sexual acts in a harassing manner.

• Posting content that sexualizes a person without consent.

Insults & Profanity Used for Harassment

We take action against insults or profanity when used to target others.

• Severe or repeated insults intended to harass or intimidate will require post removal.

• Moderate, isolated insults may result in post visibility restrictions.

• General profanity without targeted harassment is not a violation.

Violent Event Denial & Harmful Misinformation

We prohibit content that denies the occurrence of mass murders, natural disasters, or terrorist attacks when shared with abusive intent. Examples include:

• Claiming mass shootings, the Holocaust, or other mass casualty events were hoaxes.

• Stating that victims or survivors are fake or actors.

2. Reporting Violations

You can report harassment, threats, and other violations using the report function on posts and profiles.

How to Report Violations:

1️⃣ Click the "⋮" (three dots) menu on a post or public profile.2️⃣ Select "Report" and choose the most relevant reason.3️⃣ Submit your report for our team to review.

3. Consequences for Violating This Policy

The enforcement action depends on the severity of the violation and prior offenses.

Actions We May Take:

🔹 Downranking posts in replies, unless the user follows the post’s author.🔹 Preventing posts from appearing in Top Search results or recommendations.🔹 Restricting posts or accounts from email and in-product recommendations.🔹 Requiring post removal for content that violates our harassment rules.🔹 Temporary read-only mode (user cannot post or interact until the restriction is lifted).🔹 Account suspension for severe or repeated violations.

Permanent Bans

We will permanently suspend accounts that:

• Are primarily dedicated to harassment.

• Violate our Unwanted Sexual Content & Graphic Objectification policy.

• Repeatedly engage in severe harassment, threats, or inciting real-world harm.
